Four Weeks Until Showtime!

We had a very productive practice Sunday afternoon with speaking parts.  Thanks to the actors and actresses; you did very well.  Now, start putting those books down!

Practice Updates:
Soloists and Speaking Parts: Please practice every day.  Think of it as part of your homework.  You can do this IF YOU WANT TO DO IT.  YOU are in charge of this; not your parents or your teachers.  Remember how Miss Karla said to break it up into small parts.  Do a little each day of the week and it is not hard anymore. This is also how you study for a big test, so this technique will help you later in school!

Parents, please bring a check or cash for 12.00 made out to Beth Waltman for your child’s t-shirt for our October musical.  Please write your child’s t-shirt size on the check. Holly Hartzell, you have already taken care of MB, so you can ignore this.  The shirts will be a shade of blue with our main scripture (Hebrews12:1-2) on the front like a marathon runner’s bib.  The back will have “Amazing Great Race.”

Don’t forget to check out the video of the baby aardvark and the Fresh Top Ten list!
After the performance on Oct 19, we will resume Wednesday rehearsals with no Sunday rehearsals.  Yay! We will be preparing for our part in Share the Warmth, an annual FLUM Christmas tradition with the choir and volunteer performers.  The date for Share the Warmth has not been set, but it is usually a Sunday evening in early December. More on that next Wednesday.

For Share the Warmth, we will be doing “Shopping” and “Zat You?” from last year with the same solos.  The rest of the choir will be singing their awesome backup and hand motions as usual. Those who do not have solos will also be working on a short comedy performance piece.  Ever heard of “Flash Mobs?”  It will be something like that, only very legal.  We will give more specific details at choir rehearsal October 26!  One hint will appear on the blog every week until that day, so read the FLUM Kids’ Choir Blog every week starting next week!

Miss Karla and Miss Lin will see the SPEAKING PARTS ONLY  this Sunday, September 18th at 5PM in the Adult Choir Room!

Check out the Top Ten Alien Planets that are Most Like Star Wars Planets and of course the weekly Funny Animal Video!
